1000inventions belongs to
IFIA. IFIA is the
universal acronym for International Federation of Inventors' Associations. It is a
non-governmental organization created by inventor associations in 1968, in London. IFIA is
based in Geneva, Switzerland since 1991. Its membership, which is composed of associations
of inventors, organizations and companies, come from some 90 countries.

IFIA is the only organization which groups inventor associations
worldwide, and as such is a unique spokesman for inventors. It enjoys observer status at
the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, Switzerland, and is a member
of the Standing Advisory Committee of the European Patent Office (SACEPO), in Munich,
Germany.
The main objectives of IFIA are to improve the status of inventors
at national and international levels, and to promote cooperation between inventor
associations.
1000inventions is operated by IFIA in
Geneva. It is an online market-place for technology consisting of offers for sale or
licensing of inventions and new products from IFIA members or not. 1000inventions is a unique
Internet site among online marketing inventions from the point of view of the
number of the countries of origin of the inventions published: 100+ countries.

The inventions are published in English. They can be searched and
viewed by a search engine, as well as from 4 specific angles: the 8 main technical
categories of the International Patent Classification (IPC), the country of origin of the
invention, the name of the inventor, and the most recent inventions which are published.
1000inventions was launched on February 20, 2003. It is an upgraded
version of the IFIA Internet Inventions Store (IFIS), launched on November 15, 1999.
1000inventions is produced by IFIA in Geneva.
