Request to organize 40^th IFIA Jubilee

Organizing Principles of IFIA GA and Connected Events in 2008

 

Introduction

The 2008 is important year for IFIA.

• IFIA was founded in 1968. Fortieth birthday of IFIA will be in 2008.

• The Final of World Cup of Computer Implemented Inventions will organize in 2008.

• 2008 is the year of General Assembly

 

Consequently IFIA must be organize a sensational event series as like 30^th jubilee in Budapest: GA + WIPO-IFIA Conference + International invention exhibition + Cultural events

 

Probable participation

Number of countries will be 30 - 50

Number of exhibited inventions from abroad will be minimum 200 - 400

Exhibition area (net) for overseas: 400 – 800 sq. m.

 

Organizing Principles

1. Jubilee Ceremony, General Assembly, WIPO-IFIA Conference and International Invention exhibition including the Final of World Cup of Computer Implemented Inventions must be organized together in same venue.

2. Organizer of these events must be an IFIA member according to the commission of IFIA ExCo

3. Organizer must cover technical expenses of Jubilee Ceremony, General Assembly and free exhibition booths for IFIA members (limitation and application fee for exhibitors are permitted)

4. IFIA Office is the co-organizer. Its duty to do international publicity, to mobilize IFIA members and to organize of WIPO-IFIA Conference

5. IFIA Office must cover expenses of the international publicity, traveling costs of pure IFIA represents and the WIPO-IFIA Conference

6. Cost of traveling and accommodation must be cover by participants

7. Event organizer commission for IFIA member can be got by an application which must be presented to the ExCo meeting on April 20, 2007, Geneva.
