Petar KUNIĈ: DOG WHISTLE

1.  The Invention

Title  : DOG WHISTLE

Blind people who have guide dogs as it offers sound regulation on the basis of clicks (counting clicks starting from the initial position of the sound regulator)

Army, police, customs when using professionally  trained dogs in covert operations

Dog trainers

Safeguards in various situations in which dogs make irreplacable helpers

Hunters

Firemen

Lovers of dogs and dog users in urban areas as it offers the possibility of using high frequencies that do not create noise or draw attention of the citizens

All other dog users

Well-rehearsed or agreed long-distance communication between people

Conclusion

The whistle produces a sound level of approx. 101 dB (decibels) in the space that does not produce resonance effects, and at a distance of 1 meter. The range of basic frequencies in 16 positions goes from 3.5 kHz to 7.8 kHz.

The harmonics are mostly 15 to 30 decibels below the tone level of the basic frequency. From position 3 to position 4 – 3 the sound turns into the ultrasound field.

Considering the spectral system and the sound level it produces, the whistle is not harmful to human hearing.

The expert sound testing of the whistle was carried out by the Institute of Electroacoustics of the Faculty of Electrotehnics and Computer Science of the University of Zagreb.
