The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve

Description. The HELIVAC vacuum pump with a grinder has housing with a carrier handle, containing a helical rotor, usually with at least three blades. The blade disk is attached in front of an intake pipeline, on the helical rotor with screws. The blade disk has drilled-in holes which are used for grinding all of the solid matter with an initial size of up to 0.1m and is placed at the entry point of wastewater into the pump. The resulting treated wastewater is transported by the three-bladed helical pump (functioning as a centrifugal pump) into the pressurised pipeline and further to the ship's wastewater treatment facility.

Presentation.
Fields of application : The wastewater pipeline of this system is much smaller than the pipeline of the gravity-powered systems, which require a minimum internal diameter of 100 mm, thus providing savings in space and weight, which is important because it is installed on a ship.

Advantages The pump has the technical properties of a vacuum pump in its ability to flush sanitation facilities with much less water then gravity-powered systems. Less water spent on flushing gives energy savings in the extraction, transport and storage of fresh water, as well as savings in wastewater treatment processes.
