Title:
Biodiesel
from palm oil
The problem the
inventor(s) wanted to solve: Physico-chemical properties of palm oil as well as ethyl
or methyl esters of its fatty acid components limits its use as a biodiesel
fuel only to warm climate countries. Description: Palm oil is
a mixture of triglicerides of mainly saturated fatty acids. Methyl and ethyl
esters of saturated fatty acids form stable solutions with methyl and ethyl
acetate. Therefore, application of solution of esters of palm oil fatty acids
in ethyl or methyl acetate as a biodiesel fuel has been proposed. Presentation: Poster Fields of
application: Respective mixtures of fatty acids in ethyl or methyl
ester with additional content of triacetin are formed in a simple and
economical method of acid cross transesteryfication.
Advantages: Ecological production
process. Documentation
