Title: Unconventional method of amorphous alloys
preparation and their some magnetic and mechanical properties The problem the inventor(s) wanted to
solve: Bulk
amorphous alloys are prepared by a suction of molted materials into a water-
cooled copper mold. Description
. The bulk amorphous alloys are prepared in
the form of rods, tubes and plates. These alloys are a new group of materials
exhibiting interesting properties which are not observed for classical amorphous
(in the form of thin ribbons) and crystalline alloys. The suction casting
method allows to prepared amorphous steels which exhibit excellent mechanical
and thermal properties, and corrosion resistance. Presentation: Poster Fields of application: Because of excellent
mechanical properties, these alloys may be also used for production of
machine elements with high wear resistance. Advantages: Fe- based bulk amorphous alloys are very
soft ferromagnets showing very low core losses and
may be used for production of magnetic cores. Documentation
