DEVICE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF INTRAABDOMINAL PRESSURE
- The knowledge of the ibp
during the operation process enables making decision concerning the way of
treatment (single or multi stage with the use of plastics) as well as a wise
delivery of anaesthetics and flabbing
medicaments during the time subsequent to the operation.
- The device
makes it possible to monitore the intraabdominal pressure by measuring it
inside a bladder in order to control locking of the walls, which guarratees
keeping the newborn alive. Carrying out the objective measurements of the
intraabdominal pressure is especially important in case of patients with a
large omphocele and large gastroschisis characterized by high death rate.

an operative treatment with the use of the device with intraabdominal
pressure monitoring.
- Measuring intrabladder
pressure (ibp) is possible owing to the presented device
and the method of intraabdominal pressure
monitoring. The device is compact, has small dimensions and is convenient in
use both at an operating table and in a patient’s room.
