Title:  Device for measurement of impact air permeability of flat textile products
The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve:

The behaviour of textile products in traditional, static conditions investigations differs significantly from the conditions of its use. Hence the need for the assessment of behaviour of the textile structure in the conditions of dynamic flows.

Description: A textile product is mounted on the upper base of a cylinder-shaped measuring device. As a testing signal for the assessment of flow properties of textile products, a jump change in the volume of the area under the specimen is used, as a result of which a transient air flow through the product is forced. A pressure drop on a specimen caused by one impact movement of the piston is measured.

Presentation.   POSTER                                                                                                                              Fields of application: The device can play a role of a laboratory equipment in factories of textiles. The device can be used in the determination of air bag fabric production parameters.
Advantages:The easy-to-use, computer-aided device makes possibility of determination of a value of impact air-permeability index of filters, composites, membranes or any other products used in dynamic or impact air flows. That gives a new practical information about textile product.
