1.  The Invention

Title:  VIPARnd – GeVero® tool for 3D dosimetry in tumour radiotherapy
The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve: The inventors wanted to solve the problem of lack of ionizing radiation detectors of soft tissue properties for high resolution 3D measurements of absorbed radiation dose in radiotherapy dosimetry and systems for reading the detectors and for accompanied calculations.
DescriptionL: The invention is
VIPARnd - GeVero® tool for tumour radiotherapy as a system for measurements and fast computation of 3D high resolution radiation dose distributions as well as for verification of TPS - treatment planning systems’ theoretically calculated dose distributions. VIPARnd is tissue equivalent radiation 3D detector and GeVero® is software for calculations of dose distribution in VIPARnd and comparing data with TPS.
Presentation. Poster

Fields of application: VIPARnd - GeVero® is used in radiotherapy dosimetry in the process of preparation of irradiation scheme of tumours.
Advantages:
VIPARnd is unique soft tissue equivalent ionizing radiation detector. It exclusively records distributions of absorbed radiation doses in three-dimensions with high resolution. GeVero® is fast and user friendly software for calculations of changes inside VIPARnd. It facilitates comparisons of VIPARnd data on dose distribution with simillar data received via other methods of radiation dose distribution calculations.
Stage of development: Pre-production – laboratory scale on local demand of radiotherapy departments for trials of this new system
