Title INFRASOUND
CALIBRATOR The problem the inventor(s)
wanted to solve The Infrasound Calibrator is designed for the
calibration of acoustical instruments intended to measure of low-frequency
signals according to ISO 7196 :1995 Acoustics -
Frequency weighting characteristic for infrasound measurements. Description.
The measuring microphone of the tested instruments
is tightly coupled to the acoustic actuator of the Infrasound Calibrator by a
pressure chamber.The internal acoustical actuator
produces a low-frequency sound pressure in the cavity. The Infrasound
Calibrator produces sinusoidal reference signal of 1 Pa RMS sound pressure at
10 Hz. It can produce also the same sound pressure at 20 Hz for testing the
reference level of infrasound G filter frequency response. The Infrasound Calibrator can be use anywhere where
well definied sound pressure is required, and is
especially suited for the calibration of measuring instruments in the field. Advantages
(maximum 5 lines) Application
of the Infrasound Calibrator for calibration of
low-frequency measuring
instruments guarantee the calibration results to be traceable to
the national standards in the infrasound range. Stage of development.
