The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve
This is mainly to help in providing science and technology teachers or lecturers with experimental equipments to be used in their lectures. By this means, students will be able to learn about science and technology from direct experience rather than from only theories. However, some schools and institutes do not have enough budget to supply themselves with scientific experimental equipments. So, the inventor though there should be such equipments made from available unused materials.
Description.
Hard disks with small capacity in computers have been replaced by ones with larger capacity, however, they still function. Opening its cover, the hard disk arm can be seen inside with a metal coil and a pair of magnets attached to it. These two components can be formed into many different types of equipment by converting mechanical energy into electrical energy and vice versa.
Presentation.
In generating electrical power, hard disk arms and metal coils are placed in circles where the end of each metal coil is linked to LED. In front of the metal coil, a number of magnets are placed in circles on a rotating disk. When each magnet passes the metal coil at a certain speed, the electrical current will light the LED.

Advantages
In making the mentioned generator, some alterations can be made, such as the metal coils can be placed on then rotating disk instead of the magnets, or the LED can be changed to a small radio. Moreover, the same principles can be used in making seismic detector, seismic recorder, loudspeaker, microphone, LASER SCANNER, ECHO MAKER, and electrical bell. They can also be used in making toys with movements as they use small-sized batteries which are safe for children.
