The (Canadian) Women Inventors Project (WIP) was
created in November 1986, and is a Corresponding Member of IFIA. Its mandate is to
educate, assist and encourage women entrepreneurs and inventors. A unique Website
QUIN (Women Inventors in the Nordic Countries)
was founded in 1992 as a network for women inventors from Denmark, Finland, Iceland,
Norway and Sweden. QUIN had a webpage since March 2000. Its own QUIN website was launched
on June 29, 2002.

created in 1998, the British Female Inventor of the Year Award.
Ms Bola Olabisi, Founder of the Award, received the IFIA Cup in February 2001, in
recognition of her outstanding efforts to promote women inventors in the United Kingdom.
