Introduction

The “International Inventor’s Day” event was established by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) to raise awareness of the role of inventors in our daily lives, and to celebrate the contribution made by inventors to the development of science, technology and societies across the globe. The “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” must be organized together with an selected national similar event.

The IFIA received a proposal regarding this event from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) which was accepted. Therefore the first issue of “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” was celebrated on 2nd of February 2008 in Bangkok together the Inventor’s Day in Thailand.

The celebration of inventors was realized by way of gala occasion, international invention exhibition and convention.

THE EVENTS 

Venue of all events:

IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand; It is a world class venue with state of the art facilities on over 140,000 square meters of exhibition, conference and event floor space.

 

The “International Inventor’s Day (IID)” was organized at Hal 9 . This hall provide a total space of 30,000 square-meters (exhibition place, Grand Diamond Ballroom, meeting rooms, foyers) efficient space designs and high-technology fittings.

The exhibition consists 4 parts: King pavilion, Thai inventions, IFIA presentation and workshop places

  • Charge for participation and entrance fee of Exhibition and Convention exempted by NRCT for IFIA members (2 square meter/invention full equipped booth; maximum 20 sq m / IFIA member).
  • Accommodation for 5 nights (double room for one IFIA exhibitor organization) will be borne by NRCT.
  • IFIA subsidizes fly ticket expenditure for exhibitors from Least Developed Countries ($500 / one IFIA organization).
