IFIA President’s Message upon the occasion of his re-election: March 2019 IFIA Mag azine

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the voters of the 35th General Assembly for re-electing me as the IFIA
President. I am honored and humbled that you have placed your trust in me.

With your trust, I will work tirelessly to help address challenges the inventors face and to secure lasting and mean-
ingful improvements in the situation of inventors. Again, I thank you for the opportunity to serve.

ALIREZA RASTEGAR

IS RE-ELECTED AS IFIA PRESIDENT FOR 2018-2022

Mr. Alireza Rastegar was re-elected as IFIA President for the next four year mandate of 2018-2022 during the
35th session of IFIA General Assembly, hosted by China Association of Inventions, organized on 14th Sep-
tember in Foshan, China from 10 am to 12 pm with the participation of the majority of delegates.

The nominees for IFIA presidency were introduced and the General Assembly members were demanded
to cast their votes in the ballot box to act according to IFIA Statutes. The candidates were:

• Adnan Al Ramazani Al Naimi
• Alireza Rastegar Abbasalizadeh

Mr. Husein Hujic, Mr. Zoran Barisic and Mr. Michal Szota chaired the meeting and counted the votes. Finally,
it was announced that Mr. Alireza Rastegar gained 38 votes against 5 votes earned by Mr. Al Naimi.
