AGRO ARCA also organized under auspices of the Croatian Min-
istry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the
Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Science and
2019 REPORT Education, the Croatian Chamber of Economy-County
Chamber Karlovac, and sponsored by the HS Produkt
Ltd company.

Majo Commerce Ltd with its „Family of Innovative
Products of Polyester Fabric With a Coating of Plas-
ticized PVC“was awarded the ARCA Grand Prix, and
Heavy Duty Ltd. start-up company from Zagreb was
awarded the IFIA prize for the innovation „X-BIN, the
Multi-functional Packaging Solution”.

IFIA Best Invention Medal is awarded to the greatest
invention in the invention festival, competition and ex-
hibition relying on the IFIA’s Jury evaluation of its nov-
elty, inventive step, the potentiality, potentiality to be
commercialized, its benefit for the mankind, etc. Best
invention medals are awarded in various events held
under the patronage of IFIA.

11th International Fair on Innovation in Agriculture, Food
Industry and Agricultural Machinery (AGRO ARCA 2019)

The City of Karlovac (https://www.karlovac.hr/about-
karlovac-3017/3017) hosted the AGRO ARCA 2019, 11th
International Fair on Innovation in Agriculture, Food In-
dustry and Agricultural Machinery, which took place from
25th to 27th April 2019, organized by the Union of Croa-
tian Innovators in collaboration with the City of Karlovac.

Around 200 innovations from Croatia, Bosnia and Herze-
govina, Macedonia, Iran, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia
were presented at this year’s AGRO ARCA. The main topic
of AGRO ARCA 2019 was food packaging which was dis-
cussed at the panel „Packaging – The Key Factor of Food
Quality and Environmental Protection“by experts from
R&D as well as the business community. AGRO ARCA
was supported by the co-organizers: The Innovation Cen-
ter Nikola Tesla, the University of Zagreb, the Croatian
Technical Culture Community and IFIA. The event was
