In an attempt to address the pressing problem
 of global warming, International Federation of
 Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) and Korea Electric
 Power Corporation (KEPCO) joined forces to or-
 ganize the international energy exhibition “Bit-
 garam International Exposition of Electric Power
 Technology” (BIXPO).

 BIXPO 2017 was held at the KDJ (Kimdaejung)
 Convention Center in Gwangju, Korea from No-
 vember 1 to 3, 2017 under the support of Minis-
 try of Trade, Industry and Energy.

 BIXPO 2017 convened over 4000 business lead-
 ers and scholars from 50 different countries giv-
 ing them the opportunity to share and learn
 the latest energy technologies and look for new
 business opportunities.

 600 booths were occupied by the exhibitors
 showcasing the latest technologies in the area
 of  energy  and  electricity.  30  international  con-
 ferences were held bringing together 4000 par-
 ticipants. Over 150 cutting-edge inventions from
 creative minds were showcased. Almost 60000
 participants including  buyers, entrepreneurs,
 professionals, academic and industry leader-
 ships from research institutes, organizations, and
 IFIA member associations took part in the event.

 BIXPO 2017 also helped the small and medium-
 sized Korean companies find opportunities to
 enter  foreign  markets  by  networking  with  for-
 eign counterparts.

 During the award ceremony, IFIA Best Invention
 Medals were awarded in two different categories
 of KEPCO Sector and Foreign Sector. “Momit Cool
 and Mybudget” won IFIA Medal for the foreign
 sector while The KECPO Sector prize was given
 to:


 1. CT Circuit Real-Time Monitoring Device for
 154kV Transformer Protection System
 2. High Performance Measurement System for
 Location of Partical Discharge in GIS
