I greet you on the occasion of IFIA 40^th Birthday and wish a lot of success for your work concerning the represent of inventor interests.

IFIA General Assembly 2008

I, the IFIA President convene the IFIA General Assembly 2008 on the evidence of IFIA Statutes,

Article 6 according to follows:

Date: October 18, 2008 hour 9:00-12:00

Venue: 5D Hall, Meeting Room of the International Expo Center, Modern Avenue, Suzhou, China

Agenda (Draft):

1. Calling of the delegates

2. Opening of GA by the President

3. Approval of the Agenda

4. Reports about the work of the IFIA members and the IFIA Office from the last GA (2006) – reported by delegates and IFIA President (time limit is maximum 4 minutes by organization)

5. Financial report of IFIA by the President and approval

6. Working to year 2010 proposed by the President

7. Debate on IFIA working program

8. Decisions concerning the IFIA working program

9. Resignation of present ExCo

10. Election of new ExCo

11. Others

12. Closing of the session by the President

The GA will be the most important part of “Inventor Festival” which consists of the next events:

· International Inventions Show and World Cup of CIIs - 16-19 October (Suzhou)

· IFIA Jubilee Celebration 17 October (Suzhou)

· IFIA General Assembly and Conference 18 October (Suzhou)

· Youth Innovation Base, Opening Ceremony  20 October (Sanghay)

More than 40 IFIA members were organized their participation on this “Inventor Festival” including the GA. The exhibitors list had been closed. Absent IFIA members may send reports about their works by e-mail (Vedres@inventor.hu). These reports will be presented on the GA.
