Mr. Marco Matias Aleman has IFIA’s special congratulations
on his new appointment at the world intellectual property
organization.
We hope that by having him as the WIPI Assistant Director-
General and The New IP and Innovation Ecosystems Sector,
the invention society would gain a lot. Because of Mr.
Aleman’s previous cooperation with the federation, we are
glad that someone acquainted with intellectual property is in
charge. Formerly, as the Director of The Patent Law Division,
Mr. Aleman and The Federation of Inventors’ Associations
had effective collaboration, and we hope that this would go
on to a new level because of the promotion. As a result, we
will make a better and safer environment for inventors and
innovators.
As a World Intellectual Property Organization official, Mr.
Aleman has been assisting countries in different regions
throughout the world in drafting their intellectual property
laws and policies, as well as leading the work of a WIPO’s
essential substantive division, the Patent Law Division.
Mr. Aleman has been working for WIPO during the last 22
years, initially as a Senior Program Officer, Cooperation
