economy. Another important aim of IWIS is to promote an innovative attitude and inno-
vation-based perception of the world among young people, which can be the motor for
taking on new challenges.
Members of the Jury of IWIS 2022 had the difficult task of selecting the best solu-
tion because each of them presented a very high substantive and technological
level. All solutions were classified according to 12 different categories ranging
from ecology and environmental protection, mechanics, and energy to medical
medical solutions.
Finally, the Grand Prix IWIS 2022 went to Neurosphera Epilepsy, Neurology, and
Psychiatry Center (Poland) and NEUROTERMINAL (Poland) for the inventions ICTAL – a
cybernetic, multi-criteria system for epilepsy diagnosis and therapy recommendation using
machine learning and rule-based algorithms and NEUROTERMINAL – a cloud-based scal-
able system for remote diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy as well as patient consultation
and assistance implemented at Neurosphera Center.
The Best Foreign Invention IWIS 2022 went to King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia)
for the invention Harvesting Energy from Sand Temperature.
The Best Domestic Invention IWIS 2022 went to Wrocųaw University of Environmental and
Life Sciences, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science, Department of Food Chemistry
and Biocatalysis (Poland) for the invention The series of 38 inventions concerning new
flavonoid glycosides with potential antimicrobial activity.
World Competition of Chemical Inventions is a contest organized by the Internation-
al Federation of Inventors’ Association IFIA and the Association of Polish Inventors and
Rationalizers. During this year’s exhibition, the 11th edition of the World Competition of
Chemical Inventions has taken place.
The main prize of the 11th World Competition of Chemical Inventions went to Oil and
Gas Institute – National Research Institute (Poland) for the invention Heat exchanger with
a burner designed to burn hydrogen.
In summary, the 16th International Warsaw Invention Show IWIS 2022 (ONLINE edition)
was a great success.
The event every year attracts more and more exhibitors and visitors. This year our online
event was visited by almost 5000 visitors from 21 countries.
We hope that the exhibition will result in a number of implementations of the presented
inventions and innovations. Congratulations to all participants of the exhibition.
