IFIA Latin America Office

                     and ABIPIR Successfully

                      Conclude Regenerative

                      Innovation Program at

                            InnovaCities 2025





                 The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), through its Latin America
                 Office, proudly marked the successful completion of its strategic participation in the
                 Regenerative Innovation Competition, held during the 14th edition of InnovaCities – In-
                 ternational Fair of Smart, Happy, Humane and Resilient Cities, from September 15 to 17,
                 2025, in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
                 Organized in close collaboration with ABIPIR, the City Hall of Foz do Iguaçu, and the
                 BRICS Academy, this landmark event was recognized as one of the key international in-
                 novation initiatives under IFIA’s official activities for 2025. It brought together inventors,
                 researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from BRICS, BRICS+, and Latin American
                 and Caribbean countries to explore transformative solutions for a sustainable and in-
                 clusive future.
                 The competition focused on six critical areas of innovation:
                 • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
                 • Urban Sustainability
                 • Renewable Energy
                 • Socio-environmental Technologies
                 • Health Innovation
                 • New Economic Systems and Governance
                 Participants  from  over  20  countries  presented  forward-thinking  projects  that  ad-

                 Hub Summit, where public and private sector leaders exchanged strategies to foster
                 innovation ecosystems and strengthen international collaboration.
                 The active role of IFIA’s Latin America Office, led by ABIPIR President Dr. Marcelo Vivac-
                 qua, highlighted IFIA’s growing engagement in emerging regions and its commitment to
                 empowering inventors through high-level global exposure and support.
                 This initiative not only enhanced the visibility of technological and social innovation
                 from the Global South but also solidified Foz do Iguaçu’s position as a dynamic hub for
                 regenerative  innovation.
