4. IFIA–BRICS Committee Proposal
A proposal was presented by the BRICS Academy of Future Skills (Xiamen, China) for the
establishment of the IFIA–BRICS Committee. This initiative aims to enhance scientific and
technological cooperation, promote innovation exchange, and strengthen IFIA’s global
presence.
The structure includes Dr. Liu Zhenying (China) as Chairperson, rotational Vice-Chairper-
sons from BRICS countries, and a Secretariat managed by the BRICS Academy of Future
Skills. The proposal is pending approval at the 2025 General Assembly in Zagreb.
5. Membership Status – India
• Upgrade of India Yenilik Foundation to Full Member status was approved (Pending GA
Ratification).
• Downgrade of Indian Innovators Association to Corresponding Member status was ap-
proved (pending GA ratification).
6. Change of Representation – Croatia
The Croatian Union of Innovators confirmed that Mr. Leo Pincan will replace Mr. Zoran Barić
as Croatia’s ExCo representative. This change was approved.
