ELEVEN COUNTRIES RECENTLY
JOINED IFIA AS NEW MEMBERS
IFIA’s 23rd to 29th Virtual Executive Committee meetings were organized from February 23, 2019, to Aug 14, 2019, to
review the new membership requests submitted to IFIA Secretariat. It can be informed of the details of the meetings
as the following:
During the 23rd Virtual Executive Committee meetings organized on February 23, 2019, Turkish Inventor and Innovation
Network from Turkey and Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation Laboratory (MRIL)-EMSI from Morocco were ad-
mitted as IFIA corresponding members. Eastern Turkish Inventor and Innovation Network is a non-profit organization
responsible for supporting inventors and innovators. EMSI aims to participate in and contribute to the development of
research and innovation in Morocco and internationally.
During the 24th meeting, held on March 13, 2019, were admitted as IFIA corresponding members by The Young Entre-
preneurs and Leaders Empowerment Initiative from Nigeria and Research Institute of Creative Education from Viet-
nam. YELEM INITIATIVE aims to empower youths with business grants and skill acquisition training. Research Institute
of Creative Education is an institute operating in the field of general science education.
The 25th Virtual Executive Committee meeting was held on May 12, 2019, the majority of votes were gained by The
Inventors School of the Philippines (ISP) from the Philippines. ISP has been equipping innovative Filipino minds from as
young as four years old to go into product creation by nurturing their innate creativity.
Throughout the 26th Virtual Executive Committee meeting arranged on June 17, 2019, The Professional Association of
Innovations from Italy and PROvendis GmbH from Germany were accepted as IFIA corresponding members. Profes-
sional Association of Innovations is a non-profit organization that undertakes communication and marketing initiatives
and PROvendis is the patent evaluation agency of German universities, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.
At the following meeting, held on August 7, 2019, Global Invention Forum from Cyprus and Technology Association
“Technopol Moscow” from the Russian have been selected as new members. Global Invention Forum is a non-profit or-
ganization responsible for the support of international innovative and inventor’s society in Cyprus and Technopol Mos-
cow is a non-profit organization that sees its mission in “creating adequate conditions for enhancing and developing
Russia.
The 28th Virtual Executive Committee meeting was held on August 14, 2019, and the majority of votes were gained by
The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) from Egypt. ASRT is the Egyptian house of expertise. It brings
together outstanding Egyptian scientists and experts to carry out scientific studies.
Lastly, ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) funded by USAID is a partnership of 20 African universities in 13 countries is ad-
mitted as IFIA corresponding members according to the majority of the votes cast in the 29th virtual session dated
August 14, 2019.
