Invention Fair – ISIF’19

Fourth ISIF took place between 17 – 22 September 2019 with a 1.720.000 visitor.
ISIF’19 was held under the international patronage of IFIA, World Intellectual Property Organization cooperation, honor-
ary patronage of Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkish Republic and hosted by Turkish Patent and Trademark
Office from 17-22 September 2019, in the Ataturk Airport Exhibition Hall.
This year, ISIF’19 was held in conjunction with the largest technology and aviation festival of Turkey, TECHNOFEST. 384
invention and innovation from 22 countries were showcased during the event. Moreover, over 115 institutional partici-
pants include individual inventors, Science Parks, technology transfer offices, patent attorneys, important actors from
intellectual property ecosystem, 38 universities from abroad and local, research center from Turkey and other participat-
ing countries showcased their latest innovative achievements.
During the award ceremony, such distinguished figures Vice Minister of Industry and Technology Ministry Mr. M.Fatih
KACIR, President of TÜRKPATENT Prof. Dr. Habip ASAN and representative of IFIA Mr. Zoran BARISIC participated at
20th of September.
Alongside the event, some other programs were also arranged referred to as B2B within the “Investment Zone”, which
helps inventors on the commercialization of their assets.
ISIF’19 Grand Prix dedicated by President of the Turkish Republic Mr. Recep Tayip ERDOGAN was granted to “Mehmet
Cemil Kazanbaş, Mehmet Fatih Sayarlar” from TURKISH AEROSPACE with the invention “An Avionic Computer Archi-
tecture”.
IFIA’s Grand Prix was granted to ÖZLEM AKALIN from
TEKNOPARK İSTANBUL A.Ş. with the invention “Additive
Enhanced Cement Production Method”.
IFIA’s Best National Invention Medal was granted to Ms.
Ayşe ERTAŞ from “Covisart Limited Şirketi” Turkey with
the invention “New Generation Vehicle Simulator”.
IFIA’s Best International Invention Medal was granted to
“Parlindungan Hendric Siregar, Faiq Kautsar, M Haykal Pa-
sha, Nanang Kurniawan, Wahyu Hartono, Riani Budi Astuti,
Muhammad Hilman, Budyi Permono, Adhitiya Nugraha”
from PR Pertamina (Persero) INDONESIA with the inven-
tion “Improving the Effectiveness of Operation and Main-
tenance of Production Facilities through “SAMS”(Seamless
Asset Management System) at PT Pertamina (Persero)”.
IFIA’s Best Academic Invention Medal was granted to
Burak Evirgen- Mustafa Tuncan- Ahmet Tuncan from An-
adolu University with the “Umbrella Anchorage”.
The 5th Istanbul International Invention Fair / ISIF’20, which
will be held in September 2020, will continue to be a strong
supporter of the national and international ecosystem.
