The Grand Prix at the
46th International Exhi-

Geneva was awarded
to Professors Carly Sy
Lam and Chi Ho To from
Hong Kong in China for
their multi-segment lens
for glasses designed to
defocus short-sighted vi-
sion, enabling myopia to
be controlled.

IFIA’s Best Invention
Medal was granted to a
team of inventors from
Switzerland for their
eye-catching innovation
titled “Hypersvn” which
combines uniquely a
smart management sys-
tem platform and a pro-
jection unit, a hi-tech
hardware device gen-
erating 3d visuals per-
ceived as high-resolu-
tion holograms floating
in the mid-air.

The International Exhi-
bition of Inventions of
Geneva also honored
45 other top inventions
among the thousand or
so innovations present-
ed there.
