REGINA JEZIORSKA:
POLISH RESEARCHER, INVENTOR,
WRITER & PROFESSOR
Regina Jeziorska, an associate professor at the Industrial Chemis-
try Research Institute of Poland and its managing director from
2012 to 2016, is currently leading a group of researchers working
on various aspects of recycling and reactive extrusion of polymers,
biopolymers, polymer nanocomposites and their applications.
Regina Jeziorska holds over 35 patents and is the editor of one
book and author or coauthor of over 150 book chapters and pub-
lications in scientific journals. she holds many positions including
vice president of Polish Innovators and Rationalizers Association,
president of the Sectoral Council of the Chemistry Sector of the
Polish Standardization Committee, president of the Technical
Committee for Plastics as well as the Technical Committee for Ma-
chinery and Equipment for the Processing of Plastics and Rubber
of the Polish Standardization Committee, and a member of the
Managing Board of the Modification, Degradation and Stabiliza-
tion Society (MoDeSt). She has been many times a member of the
jury of Brussels INNOVA the World Exhibition on Inventions, Re-
search and New Technologies.
Regina Jeziorska has received the M.Sc. (1984), the Ph.D. (1998), and
the D.Sc. (2008) degrees from the Warsaw University of Technol-
ogy, Industrial Chemistry Research Institute and Lublin University
of Technology, Poland, respectively. Many of her research results
have been implemented in the industry. Her works on engineer-
ing polymers from PET bottles and polymeric composites from PC
wastes, mainly compact discs were distinguished in the 7th and
11th edition of the Polish Product of the Future Competition in the
technology category of the future in 2003 and 2011, respectively.
Her recent work on antimicrobial high-tech products for building
industry was awarded in the 19th edition of the Polish Product of
the Future Competition in the product category of the future of
the scientific unit in 2016.
