innovators, entrepreneurs, and startup CEOs were present and shared their experiences at
the IFIA office in Palexpo.
In this meeting, innovators and startup owners presented their pitch decks with detailed
presentations of their business plans and business models.
The purpose of holding such a conference is for the innovators to engage more with the
startup space and innovative people so that IFIA can progress further toward the goals
and missions of IIS. Moreover, this group attended the United Nations meeting in Geneva
at the United Nations Office, housed at the historic Palais des Nations.
The next part of this program provided the participants with private meetings with Belgian
investors of different firms, such as ONEtoONE, Sensifai, and Innovouric, in which the
innovators presented their business plans to the investors. These businessmen also dis-
cussed their international experiences and how to receive funds in Europe. Examining the
opportunities of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things were the main topics of
these meetings. Last but not least, IIS thanks Dr. Bahari, IFIA’S Representative in Belgium,
for planning this gathering for the inventors and innovators.
The next meeting of the IFIA Innovation Standard Program was held in Crypto Valley, Zug,
Switzerland. At this event, held at the CVVC complex, the participants acknowledged the
opportunities in blockchain and fintech. Moreover, this event was held with Mr. Nikolay,
one of the senior managers of CVVC Complex, and the economic advisor of the Canton
of Zug, Mr. Alberto Diaz.
In the end, the team of innovators had the chance to visit some unicorn startup compa-
nies and attend a specialized meeting with the CEO of the FICAS group, Mr. Ali Mizani,
regarding the role of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the field of innovation and the
future of research in Zug.
Lastly, the IIS Project Manager, Mr. Masoud Tajbakhsh, believes that providing such spe-
cialized programs and meetings for future innovators and inventors of IFIA can create new
perspectives in the world and ecosystem of innovation.
