A NEW MEMBER OF THE NGO

COMMITTEE ON UNICEF

The NGO Committee on UNICEF is a New York-based co-
alition of NGOs affiliated with the United Nations, existing
since 1950. The committee partners closely with UNICEF
to advocate for the promotion and protection of children’s
rights worldwide.

New York (06 May 2023) —The International Federation
of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) is pleased to announce its
membership in the esteemed NGO Committee on UNICEF.
This collaboration reinforces IFIA’s dedication to promoting
children’s rights and well-being globally.
The NGO Committee on UNICEF serves as a vital platform
for facilitating cooperation between UNICEF and non-govern-
mental organizations (NGOs) committed to advancing chil-
dren’s rights. IFIA’s membership in this influential committee
demonstrates its ongoing commitment to championing the
well-being and development of children worldwide.
The NGO Committee on UNICEF is an entity officially man-
dated by UNICEF to represent civil society and interact with
UNICEF’s Executive Board.
The collaboration between IFIA and the NGO Committee on
UNICEF opens doors for joint initiatives, knowledge-sharing,
IFIA Magazine Septeber 2023 and advocacy efforts focused on children’s rights. IFIA is
poised to leverage its extensive network, innovative solutions,
and global partnerships to amplify the impact of the com-
mittee’s work.
Through its membership, IFIA aims to support UNICEF’s pro-
grams and initiatives in areas such as child protection,
access to quality education, healthcare, and nutrition, and
ensuring children’s voices are heard. By actively engaging in

resources, and innovative solutions to address pressing chal-
lenges and create positive change for children worldwide.
