Resilient Cities – Connecting with leaders and innovators shaping the sustainable future of Rio
          Grande  do  Sul!”
          Mr. Marcelo Vivacqua, President and Founder of ABIPIR, Director of the IFIA-ABIPIR LATAM Office,
          and  Founder  and  Director  of the  “Brazil-China  Cooperation  Hub,” will  be  participating  in this
          important and innovative event with a noble goal: to support the rebuilding of the State of Rio
          Grande do Sul. Mr. Marcelo will present strategies to contribute to the reconstruction efforts,
          including fundraising initiatives to support entrepreneurs, providing training for entrepreneurs
          to apply for government grants, and identifying innovative technologies that meet the needs
          of flood-affected cities through the “Brazil-China Cooperation Hub.” Furthermore, he will assist
          cities in implementing open innovation processes to identify challenges and launch public calls
          for startups capable of solving these issues.
           The Connection 8 conference aims to promote a comprehensive discussion on climate disasters
          in Rio Grande do Sul, focusing on the actions taken so far and the paths forward, while also
          showcasing available solutions and technologies.
          Key themes  of the  conference will  include:  risk  management  and  natural  disasters;  resilient
          cities; circular economy; zero waste; governance and public policy; agribusiness; innovation and
          technology; and education and awareness.
          This event will attract individuals concerned with sustainable development and effective public
          policy,  including  community  leaders,  government  representatives,  business  professionals,
          academics, and engaged citizens interested in shaping the future of Rio Grande do Sul.
