Experience, passion, and diplomacy are competencies that dis-
tinguish IFIA-STEM- Ambassador Winfried Sturm as a bridge
builder. For many years he has supported the IFIA- family as
a Youth-Network-Manager. Representing the German-Inven-
tors-Association (DEV) as an Executive-Member, he supports
IFIA as an IFIA-Director and loyally stands by his IFIA- President
Alireza Rastegar as Vice-President. His credo: “It is not the age
that matters, but the will to achieve something”. Even as a young
passionate scientist, his goal was to inspire and motivate young
people in STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering- Mathemat-
ics). Driven by his strong virtues, such as curiosity, per-
severance, and joy in creating something new from the old, he
continues to successfully captivate young, eager inventors to
this day.
In his role as an international STEM ambassador, he has estab-
lished numerous collaborations with educational institutions
worldwide. The focus is to motivate young people in the field of
science in order to awaken interest in creative idea generation
and to dedicate himself to the young generation of inventors.
Many contacts with IFIA inventor nations have been established
in the process.
