The call for strengthening scientific and technical education is
becoming increasingly louder in light of the globally tense situ-
ation. The learning environment of alternative tinkering and in-
venting thus has a great opportunity to better anchor science
and modern technologies as part of our culture and to make the
fascination with scientific processes of discovery tangible and
experiential. What could be more obvious than to connect in-
ternationally with creative young people by volunteering at the
world invention institution “IFIA” (International Federation of In-
ventors’ Associations). IFIA unites more than 100 national inven-
tor associations, each with many inventors, including numerous
young tinkers.
The future of all nations, as recognized by STEM-Ambassador,
largely lies in the untapped resources of innovatively thinking
visionaries. The creativity of inventive minds, which needs to be
discovered and nurtured early on, is of particular importance. And
this can be optimally realized through close cooperation wit IFIA.

Not only in Germany has Sturm made headlines as
a tireless advocate for education, but he has also
pointed out the national importance of a future-
