KEEPS YOU SAFE IN

CAMPING & CLIMBING

Mr. Wu Ming Hong, Assistant Professor of CHU Chunghua University, Department of
Industrial design, Taiwan won IFIA Best Invention Medal for his innovative device titled
“Field Security Device” displayed in International Invention and Design Competition 2017
(IIDC).

This product is specially designed for rock climbing and camping so that people in the
wild can be safe at any time. To use the device, just simply buckle it up to an alpenstock,
and then stick in several alpenstocks around the camping area. If there’s anything step-
ping into the area, the device will deliver a warning and a beam of light in order to remind
climbers or campers of the danger.

One advantage of the device is that it is equipped with a portable charger generated by
solar energy. Therefore, there are no worries about the depletion of charge since people
can charge it wherever they go.

Another positive point of the device is that it is easy to carry. Meanwhile, in order to set
up a safety screen, several devices must be used since every device has its own scanning
area. Finally, the device is composed of two buttons to control, one for camping lights
and the other for scanning.
