Empowering Youth to Achieve Sustainable
Development: A Milestone for Innovation in Iraq and
Mauritania
Under the inspiring slogan “Empowering Youth to Achieve Sustain-
able Development”, the First Iraqi International Inventors and In-
novators Society (IRAQ-IIIS) Exhibition concluded with remarkable
success. This significant event was organized in conjunction with
the Second International Conference “Mauritania Towards the Sum-
mit”, bringing together inventors, researchers, and innovators from
across the globe.
The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) was
honored to participate as a success partner, reaffirming its commit-
ment to fostering global collaboration in invention and innovation.
The exhibition featured an impressive showcase of 70 academic re-
search projects and 36 pioneering inventions and innovations from
a diverse range of countries, including Iraq, Mauritania, Egypt, Jor-
dan, Algeria, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, and the
United States.
The closing ceremony, held on July 5, 2025 in the Republic of Iraq,
was a vibrant celebration of creativity and achievement. In the pres-
ence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Iraqi Chargé d’Af-
faires in Mauritania, inventors and innovators were honored with
medals and official certificates of participation, recognizing their
valuable contributions to advancing science, technology, and soci-
etal progress.

attention of officials, industry leaders, and the public alike. One

national scientific exchange. The event not only celebrated existing
achievements but also paved the way for a shared vision of sustain-
able development led by youth innovation.
